Aggregator & RSS Feed Feature

Aggregatore and RSS feeds are a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines or podcasts. An RSS document, which is called a "feed," "web feed," or "channel," contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner that's easier than checking them manually.

What makes an Aggregator powerful is two fold; first, you can 'pull' news / content from a website and post it on your website, secondly you can 'push' your news / content from your website onto millions of other websites.

The 'Push' feature is how you can get your content on millions of other websites. This feature helps with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for your site.

To see our Aggregator page (aggregator = pull), click here, you will see that we have 5 feeds from CNN and 4 feeds from Sports Illustrated. You can click on the link and it will take you to CNN or SI's article you selected, or select the blue 'B' next to the article and you can blog on this site about your thoughts on this specific article. Others can comment on the article or on your comment.
